I finally got to drive Paula around in my car on Saturday. I know what some of you are thinking. Maybe it’s lame that I haven’t been able to drive her around but up until now, my Dad didn’t really trust me with driving by myself or carrying passengers.
The first place we stopped at was Rockin’ Jump. It’s this huge trampoline themed attraction. I had mixed feelings about it at first but it was amusing and tiring at the same time. The only thing that stood out to me were the employees and the number of kids. Most of the employees looked bored or annoyed. It detracted from the amount of fun. For example, there was a kid who touched the yellow part of the trampoline jump zone (you’re not allowed to touch the yellow) and one of the employees would have this furrow on her forehead and shout, “OFF, GET OFF!!” It was rather violent. Despite the angry employees, Paula and I managed to avoid most of their glaring stares (we stood out quite a bit).
When the hour was up, we were staring and because the night before Paula and I were talking about sushi, I took her to Little Mad Fish next to the Safeway near Tassajara Road. Americanized sushi tastes alright, it’s just hard to pick up with chopsticks. To top off our Rockin’ Jump sushi date, we got Blush froyo.
I’m overjoyed that I had the chance to take Paula out somewhere. She’s going away for college in LA next year so it’s up to us to make the most out of the time she has left in San Ramon.
